The Rittner Buam are condemned to win

Collalbo, March 18, 2022 - Win or go out - this will be the alternative the Rittner Buam will face in the next quarterfinal game against S.G. Cortina Hafro. After losing 2:4 game 1 and 2 of the best-of-five series against Cortina, Heiskanen's team will have to win on Saturday night in order to keep their hopes up for the playoff semifinals of the Alps Hockey League.

In the two previous games of the quarter finals, the Rittner Buam had to surrender to the strong Ampezzo's defence and to De Filippo's great saves in the Cortina's goal. On the other hand, the many scoring opportunities of the Renon team must be turned into more goals. "Finalization was our weak point and will have to improve," sport director Adolf Insam is also aware of this: "We didn't play badly, but in the playoffs mistakes of this kind are chastised without fail."

Now the Rittner Buam intend to reverse the trend and on Saturday night, at home in the Ritten Arena, they want to get back at it. "We'll talk to the team today, try to motivate them as best we can and make the starting situation clear to them," Insam explains. "It will mean giving it our all on the ice and also going where it hurts. It's the last chance to be able to aspire to the semifinals. But I'm convinced our guys will give it their all." Although Game 1 and Game 2 were grueling, Coach Santeri Heiskanen has the entire roster at his disposal to turn the series around.

Game 3 of the quarterfinals will take place on Saturday, March 19 at the Ritten Arena. The first engagement will take place at 8 pm. The game will be streamed live on valcome.tv.
