The Rittner Buam want to continue with last week's momentum

Collalbo, October 13, 2021 - After the two victories of 8:2 obtained last week, new commitments in the Alps Hockey League await the Rittner Buam. The blue-reds will face the Fassa Falcons on Thursday 14th October and two days later the Vienna Capitals Silver: two opponents who are currently at the bottom of the standings. This does not mean, however, that Heiskanen's team can take the next points for granted.

Especially in Canazei the Rittner Buam had difficulties in the past. Even in the direct confrontation that opened the new championship, the blue-reds could secure the victory for 5:2 only after a strong final phase. "Fassa is a tough opponent, who gives us some problems especially in the away game. Nevertheless, I am convinced that we can win if we play with concentration. However, we will have to avoid a start like in the last game in Salzburg, with two goals conceded in less than one minute", urges Rittner Buam's sport director Adolf Insam, who noticed an increase in his team's performance after the break and the two 8:2 victories against Zeller Eisbären and Salzburg's Red Bull Hockey Juniors.

So far, Fassa has played seven league games, winning only one. In the last three matches, however, the Ladins have been beaten by only a one goal difference. On the eve of the 124th meeting between the two teams, in the statistics of the "eternal" challenge, the Rittner Buam are in the lead with 78 victories to 40 - five meetings have ended in a draw. The match on Thursday, October 14 in Canazei will start at 8:30 pm. All players except Manuel Öhler will be at Renon coach Santeri Heiskanen's disposal.

Two days later, on Saturday 16th October, the Vienna Capitals will play in Collalbo. The Viennese team is last in the Alps Hockey League standings, but a week ago celebrated its first win of the season with a 3:1 victory against the EC-KAC Future Team. The starting whistle at the Ritten Arena will be at 6 pm. "On paper, this challenge against the Vienna Capitals Silver, at the moment at the bottom of the standings, is easy. However, we will certainly not make the mistake of underestimating our opponents", promises Insam in conclusion.
